Ghost is a handsome 2.5 yr old male White Shepherd who was accepted into the rescue in January 2022. In January 2023 we learned that this sweet fun-loving boy is Heartworm positive and requires treatment to save his life. Treatment for heart worms can be ruff on a dog and their owners/rescues. Treatment requires the dog to be strict crate rest to keep their heart from being too stressed. For owners and rescues, heart worm treatment can cost over $1000 per dog!
Picked up as a stray, we don’t know much about his life prior to coming to SDC. This boy has ALOT of energy who loves to be outside and being petted. He will even nudge your hand with his nose if he feels like you have shorted him on his pets.
