Fosters are a critical part of our efforts at Sauver Des Chiens.
We do not have a facility, so we cannot take a dog in without an available foster home. Without you, a dog’s chance of finding their forever home would not be possible. As a Sauver Des Chiens foster we welcome your input, and if are just taking in your first foster we are here for you as you embark on this wonderful journey.
We are currently seeking fosters in Texas and Louisiana.
Foster expectations:
- Provide a safe environment for an adoptable dog
- Begin teaching basic manners (no jumping on people, no counter-surfing)
- Begin assessing trainability (sit, down, stay)
- Assess leash manners
- Provide socialization and experience with people and new scenarios
Sauver Des Chiens covers the costs of our routine medical protocol while the dog is in foster care.
